Interim Pastor: Rev. Allison Smith

Warren King earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Lowell State University (MA). He has been an active church musician, accomplished at both piano and organ, since his teens, known for the joyful emotional quality of his playing. He has been at Christ Church since Christmas, 2010, where he accompanies both traditional and modern services and directs the bell choir and an ever-growing voice choir. He says the wonderful people of Christ Church make his job a joy and a delight. He also teaches and accompanies musical productions in the Wells and Kennebunk/Kennebunkport school districts, and gives private lessons and provides music for weddings and parties. He has been coordinating and performing in Kennebunkport’s Colony Hotel summer Sunday concert series since 2005, contributing to their rapid growth in popularity. Rev. Allison Smith is happy to be serving as Christ Church’s interim pastor. Originally from North Carolina, where she graduated from North Carolina State University, Rev. Allison is also a graduate of Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She has a background in interim ministry, congregational healing, development and change. She believes worship should be creative, engaging, welcoming, challenging, joyful, and full of hope! She is passionate about social justice and change, and our power to make a difference in the world. Rev. Allison most recently served Bethesda UCC in Bethesda, MD. She is married to Gregory Greenleaf, a high school English teacher, and they are blessed to have three daughters, 8, 5, and 2 years old. They live in Harpswell after having recently moved back to Maine. Their family includes a chocolate lab named Java and two cats. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, photography, and being a mom. Rev. Allison believes an interim time is a time when God brings new possibilities, and looks forward to the possibilities at Christ Church!
