The Christ Church Handbell  Choir is part of the varied and exciting sacred music ministry of Christ Church. Its Director, Sheila Swenson, is a member of the American Guild of English Hand Bell Ringers (AGEHR) and as such the Bell Choir is eligible to attend the Spring Ring and Fall Ring each year. At these events Ringers have a choice of classes in ringing techniques. The culmination is a mass ring of all the choirs which have prepared several selections in the months preceding the ring. A highlight in the life of a Bell Choir is the Conference/Festival which is held every two years in one of the Northern New England states. This is usually a 4-5 day event filled with classes, rehearsals and a final concert by 800 to 900 ringers, always a thrill ! Our teenagers often play chimes with the Bell  Choir which adds a beautiful dimension to the music. Belles & Song is an outreach group of five ringers which plays at Nursing Homes, Retirement Communities and Town Functions.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Rehearsals start up again September 4, 2008.
